I've already said plenty on the subject of ASAT warfare...
Shooting down/hard kill a low altitude recon bird is very different than taking out a GPS or SATCOM bird which are in
much higher orbits; Comsats are up at 36,000 km, GPS is slightly lower at 20,000 km, recon birds like to hang out at around
400 km. That extra 30,000 km in alt gives huge space to maneuver.
Plus drones can be controlled line of sight (DASH anyone?), an AWACS type controller aircraft at 30,000 feet could feasibly have LOS RF control of a drone 200 miles away. And one drone at the same altitude could be a rely to others...
