I don't have an dials I'm only using vanila.. guess I should just start installing mods.. I'm trying to figure out if I feel the game will be worth the effort!

Nope , again this is my first mission so I want to get the feel for the game before I spend my first 20 crew points

Any tips on setting the speed? I notice that my target was sometimes doing 4 knotts sometimes 5, acorrding to the tool tip, but I could not set 4.5 and I could not figure out how to take enough observations for them to calculate the speed?
