I think...titles are confusing in our Royal Family.

Oh, and don't worry TS, like our good smartass notes, I get the two mixed up all the time, hard to think I'm the same age as Harry... No offense or anything taken in regards to tone, to be honest I'm as amused by some of the antiquities of the British regal system as most. In fact, sometimes people from other nations take more note of it than most British do, despite the fact that it's plastered all over the media today and probably will be for the next few days (or months in the case of the Daily Mail).
Britain is an interesting nation in terms of its monarchical system, and its relation to the public, I often ponder whether things are particularly different in other monarchical nations, whether we put more emphasis on it than they do. My great-grandmother was a devoted royalist, her scrapbook as lots of news cuttings about them, as it was for people of her time, but as the years have gone past, and the odd scandal has rocked them, particularly the families treatment of Diana around the time of the divorce, well, I think public perception has lowered somewhat. This has also been affected by, and I mean no offense here, but first generation immigrants and the conciliatory attitude towards them which has increased greatly since the original 1950s West Indies arrivals (who are probably some of the most patriotic Brits you could find) to those of today who believe that the place of migration should adapt not the immigrant...but that is a discussion which is not for this thread and would probably fold neatly into any discussion in regards to immigration. When you couple that to a growing number of populace who are more interested in reality television than reality itself, then the decline of interest in the monarchy and the political system is shown.
