yes, fuel is something you definitely have to keep an eye on. If you run out of fuel there is no option for a tow or rescue.
For what it's worth my standard rule is once I reach the 50% fuel mark during a mission then I have to start thinking about;....

Tomoose - thanks for that info..Since I'm new, I didn't give fuel a second thought until I received the low fuel icon warning. Now I'll need to refrain from sailing around at "Full" and wasting resources wandering around the Celebes Sea.

However when one is out of Freemantle and on patrol around the Philippines there is alot of sea to traverse...just to get to your patrol point. Most fuel is used, just getting "on station". How do you more experienced SH'ers handle this type of mission??




..but fortunately you do have the "range at current speed" calculation button which helps a lot.
