Well - in IL2, you basically build your own missions from scrap (with a powerful map editor). You can connect them into a campaign and it works like a continous campaign.
I thought of a similar approach here - connect different missions (e.g. you build your own missions based on historical facts) into a campaign.
The "not advancing" part is simply NOT TRUE. The game continues and the campaign advances no matter what you do or not do. The question is, HOW does it advance. Like in real life but unlike sh3/4, your actions may have short or long term consequences.[/QUOTE]
