No, they're not top-heavy in any way, something that USN ships have historically been notorious for.

...and by the way, thanks for not telling us you were going to be fannying about out here) - she is as fast as is needed, and as pretty as she wants to be. At least she doesn't have those horrible 1920s colliery-town chimney pots on top of her stack like the Ticonderogas. Gah! Whoever thought of that idea to knacker a fairly good-looking warship?
EDIT: I should add that there is a reasonably well-known route near the builders mile-run that, if hit
juuuust right, will add about an extra 1/2 knot on to the the trials speed of a surface warship...not that BAE or VT (or just about any other shipyard from the last 90 years) would be so unscrupulous to do so, you know...
