Still, the bottom line for me & the only real protest left is no purchase with that requirment.

This is the problem. Ubi is not only losing customers today. Many will drift off forever. It will take a long time to get rid of the sour taste after Ubi has lifted the DRM restrictions. It's a very sad situation.
