I have lost count of the number of times over confidence and sheer tonnage greed has got me into hot water
I think it is one of the single biggest career killers going
Like others have mentioned,I have been known to cut a patrol short if I think that I've sustained to much damage,The risks are just far to great
I'd rather go home with 20,000grt and get there,than take a risk and go after the enemy with a hull thats damaged and puts me on the defensive before I've even fired an eel
By mid 42' onwards you are on a losing ticket as it is,taking any unwaranted risks is a sure fire way to the bottom
