Try not to think of SH3Cmdr as a mod like you would other SH3 mods. Indeed, SH3Cmdr is not a mod at all; it's a
third-party stand alone application. You can install it anytime, anywhere, just like any other application. Running SH3Cmdr does no more than
read settings from SH3 game files. SH3Cmdr only
modifies SH3 game files when you press the "Launch SH3!" button (the tick). Until then it's quite innocuous.

Not so since SH3Cmdr R2.6. SH3Cmdr R2.6+ is smart enough to recognise when you have docked at a base that's not your home base and will automatically set the number of days to 1 (plus days required to repair any damage - an SH3 imposition). When docked at such a base (ie milk cow), you should notice your Commander status as being "In other base before patrol #", rather than "In home base before patrol #".

When GWX 3.0 was first released this was the case, but the GWX team have since released updated compatibility files...
