It's inhuman NOT to form judgments and express opinions. That's what happens on this forum. Open ridicule is bad, I agree. But politely expressing one's views/concerns is not equivalent to bullies stealing lunch money, sorry.

And who is to define what a "funky thing" is? What's funky to me is your idea of reality and vice versa. There have been a couple possible explanations for the belief (if indeed it is one) and I'm sure there are several more explanations that don't involve openly ridiculing a person.
People may not choose to be the small child in school, but some people haven't had much choice in what they believe. We have no idea of the age or the background of the person, yet y'all make fun of the person rather than ignoring what you believe to be a crazy statement.That's what my objection is to, and I attempted to politely express it, as opposed to the above examples.
