Question about SH3 Commamnder and weather modification

I'm running SH3 with Grey Wolves and SH3 Commander.

I made the changes recommended in the previous post: weather or not to weather.
But, I haven't seen much difference so far.

My question: does either Grey Wolves or SH3 Commander have a built in weather Mod? If so, are the changes to the campaign.rnd file recommended in the above mentioned post necessary, needed or even useful?

Also, I read somthing recently about the seasonal wave height in SH3 Commander; does anyone recommed this?

I think SH3 Commander 2.6 does come with a weather mod, but I can't play right now so I have to take others' word for it.

I use the x2 Wave height in Commander. I tried the 'Seasonal' one, but in the summer when the waves are x1 the pre-set deck gun values are unchanged, so you end up with the old "I can't use my guns but it looks perfectly calm" problem.

No, Commander doesn't come with a weather mod. Commander 2.6 does do a "look/call" for SH3 Weather (by skweetis) but doesn't modify the weather itself.

To the best of my knowledge, Grey Wolves doesn't modify the weather. CB's mod should work, I'm going to try it out when I start this next patrol.

I've used the seasonal wave height option since getting Commander but haven't noticed the situation Sailor Steve mentioned. Am very happy with this option.
