Why you want to remove a node?

I have used the following method to "remove" a node:

Open the .eqp file. Scroll down until the node you want to remove is displayed. For example "M05":

Just leave the "Linkname" blank

[Equipment 5]
NodeName=M05
LinkName=4InchDouble
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19451231

[Equipment 5]
NodeName=M05
LinkName=
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19451231

Now the node is "blank", no gun is mounted to the node. That's the only method I know, which is working without a hex editor.

I see, but cause Iam not a hex genius, I can't help you in that way.
Try ask sergbuto or Uboat234.

Sorry bud.

The platform in the armed trawler is not a node, it's a 3d object.

bigboywooly,
I removed the pieces you wanted from the armed trawler and test it in game, no issues. So E-mail it to me and I can have it back same day.

Thankfully I do not have a texture save issue with armed trawler & the escorts, well at least the many tested ones anyway.
