*.dat File Viewer ?
Hi All,
I'm starting today modifying 3d meshes and importing them back on .dat with Pack3D. ***Anyone knows about a Viewer to see the results faster, without going through the whole game loading drag ? Thanks to the whole list of modders that helped creating these tools: I insist ;) |

In this site, of Timetraveller, have many tools.
But I think it is better to make a true test with the game. Run SH3 and after go to the desktop and work. Create a mission for test your modification and in end run the mission. http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/sh3.htm BEST REGARDS UBOAT234 |
Homework :)
Thanx Jonz for help. But i already have the Dat extractor.
Thanks for the link , UBOAT234. That's what i'm going to do. I took a chance to ask cause i was sure someone has coded a viewer to see the actual 3D model, without going through the whole game loading process. But now, i would need to know the steps of a sucessful mesh export from MAX5.1 to Wavefront obj. 1) when exporting the object, the the new obj is smaller (in bytes) than the original. I know it has been debated and fixed a while ago,... but that's where i am. 2) I'm using pack 3D version 1.0, and i know i can import a single modified object to it's related dat. 3) I know also there is something important related to the generated *.mtl file, for the import to be successful. Thanks anyways, i am going back to my Homework and i'll browse all what's been written related to mesh cloning stuff . :-? ;) |
