The "Stock" version of the I-400 Class is nearly bullet-proof and the Ko-Hyoteki midget sub especially is sturdy as all get-out, doing the "ping-pong ball" (or "billiards cue ball", depending upon your game of choice) trick of bouncing all over the place after hit. TMO uses the same boats with the same "damage" zone set-ups. The Bubblehead1980 version adds the AI subs from an older version of FotRSU, and since they are "copies" of AI German U-Boats, will indeed display a similar behavior. The main problem of course, is that all of the AI boats are copies of player boats without all of the player controls. As such, they are rather stout and able to take quite a bit of damage before sinking. The v1.8 of FotRSU does have revised damage set-ups, but it might still take 3 and 4 hits to take them down. Most likely, if you were hitting a JyunsenB or Kaidai4 model, they probably "bounced" beneath the waves after the torpedo blast, and are not actually sunk. It's just not visible anymore. We consider that a submarine that dived and hid from the player... - I have hit a Ko-Hyoteki that was docked on one side of a dcok at Yokohama, return from the stratosphere, and it "splash down" at the other end of the complex, roughly a thousand yards away, several long seconds later... :o :arrgh!:
