Graphic tweaks for AMD graphics card
Hello, I have upgraded from Nvidia to AMD. Problem is that I lost my great anti aliasing settings which were in nvidia control panel. Does anyone have a guide for removing the jeggies and making the game look better for amd graphic cards? Because when changing settings through driver software doesint effect anything.
UPDATE 1 Update on the situation. I had same issue with Silent Hunter IV, but after advice (ticking disable fullscreen optimization) it started working and I could get very great image. I tried to do the same thing for SIlent Hunter III but it didn't worked. Okay I have found a culprit. Its Ahnerbe Wide gui mod. With stock resolution anti aliasing does turn on and off. but using Widescreen mod Anti aliasing doesint work entirely. So now the question is. HOW TO TURN ON ANTI ALIASING ON WIDESCREEN GUI. Stock resolution 1024x768 Anti Aliasing is on ( You can see that wires are smooth and no jagged lines) https://www.part.lt/img/d893e8a8890e...e247fe6857.bmp Anti aliasing is off The wires are pixelated https://www.part.lt/img/3d048f5e8f23...0a47c0f231.bmp 1920x1080 Ahnerbe Wide GUI Anti aliasing is turned on in the settings but as you can see Anti aliasing is not working in the game https://www.part.lt/img/8f359d789c4a...645bfcb853.bmp |

You need to experiment with each mode of setting up your video card in parallel, taking screenshots and comparing them. I shouldn't have gone in there. Everything was fine before your message :-)

I may have found a workaround the problem. The anti aliasing works in windowed mode. I have found a program which can turn windowed mode into BORDERLESS windowed mode. The results are that you can play in 1920x1080 with perfect anti aliasing settings in "fullscreen".https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Gl...creen_windowed
Soon I will create a guide in detail how to achieve it. |

I launch the SH3 in windowed and use Borderless gaming program, which makes the windowed screen into a borderless fullscreen. In this mode the Anti aliasing also works great.

AMD anti aliasing fix

I was anxiously waiting for your anti aliasing fix for SH3. Can you post what you did with the borderless gaming software program. There are many of us who would like to know what to do. silentwayIII |

Borderless
Hi Niume
I believe it works. I have made small adjustments to my anti aliasing settings for my amd card and they seem to have improved how cables, wires and railings look when close to the object. I also believe a smaller monitor would help improve anti aliasing. My current monitor is a samsung 27" curved display (4 years old) which I think is a bit too big for 1920x1080 and so stretches things out a bit. Thank you for the Borderless Gaming Software suggestion, it helps. silentwayIII |
Unfortunately on my monitor 32 2560x1440 it gives black bars at the top and bottom

editing the d3d9.dll file can solve the problem?
How to set 1440p resolution? |
