Differences between the Attack Scope and the Observation Scope

What are the differences? Other than the Obs Scope having better up swing angles? Any advantages to using both at the same time?

in real life there were a number of differences however in the US side of the game there is no real functional difference. in the stock game there is very little difference. some US mega-mods have observation scopes that are tuned for night-vision which is an advantage during a night attack.
if you play OpMonsun at some point, you will see functional differences.
there is no advantage to using both scopes at once.
good luck. and good hunting.

German side, the observation scope has a bigger head than the attack one, to take more light; and can rotate up more, hence a better viewing.
The attack one has a smaller head to avoid detection.
Observation scope is also shorter than attack one.
Depending the sub type, usually the observation scope is in the command room while the attack one is in the conning tower.
