"new" used copy of sh5
 

turns out the copy of this game i bought on ebay is used and so the keycode is no good.

is there no way to sidestep this "key code" for this old game?

I would personally not buy a used game for just this reason ,

As for circumventing the DRM , which is basically what your asking how to do , even the discussion of such isnt allowed on this forum ,, Im just saying because ive seen others shot down for asking similar questions .Im no shooter myself .

Pretty sure you can buy teh game from ubisoft directly , And download it from them .. Or get it via steam but i recomend getting it from UBI as Its better to mod without Steam.

You might try to contact UBIsoft and explain the situation. You never know, their customer service people might be willing to help.
