Hello, there
 

Somehow, over the years I never managed to play a sub sim. I might have played Silent Service or its sequel -- I was certainly into Microprose games back in those days -- but I guess my then scant gaming dollars went elsewhere. And over the last two decades sub sims just never pushed their way into my always crowded game-consciousness.

But a few days ago I got it into my head to find a "meaty," naval game. After searching and reading opinions and recommendations I found myself watching SH videos on Youtube. And suddenly I was excited about a whole genre of games I have completely ignored.

So now I'm playing SH3. I may be late to the party, but I'm glad I found it, and this site. Cheers.
