Load Order Nov 2014 Advice Needed
 

HI,

I'm an old SH2/3 player returning after 3 years (you can see that from my registered date :P )... i bought Sh5 at day one (2010) but soon I gave up due to many bugs and put it on shelf.

Now i'm back and spent last 4 days digging on forums for new mods, infos and correct soup.. you guys did a great job! Ubisoft must pay u a wage!

Well, now it's time to tell me what you think of my load order below.

Sh5 1.2.0
TDW GenericPatcher v1.0.168.0

Is that correct?
Should i add or remove some mods?

I've not yet started a campaign but game loads fine...

My rig:

Core i7 920
Windows 8.1.2
RA; 6GB DDR3
Geforce GTX 680
HDD 300GB SATA 10.000rpm

Kinda off-topic, can't help ya sorry mate, as i'm looking for mods myself, to get the game working without bugs.

Is this long list of mods required? It looks like u got some graphics mods etc.
I have seen the mega mod, but i'm looking for something to just get the game working properly not some 50+ mods.

Any help or idea's would be appreciated. :arrgh!:

Posts like these are difficult to assess, since you've listed a great deal of mods for someone to consider.

You can try the game and see what happens, but that can be very time consuming as this game loads slow and most CTD's are related to ServerOrbitProtocol.cpp which doesn't really give you any info as to what caused it.

So instead, why not check out Sober's mod list. It's been around for ages (updated every so often), but it can take some time to get through it all. If you're looking for the best fix, check out vdr1981 Wolves of Steel mod http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=210703

And if you're using 16x9, the WoS patch doesn't address the RAOBF. Use the mod schnorchel made to fix that

Between Sober's mod or WoS, you should have a 'megamod' that works for most. If you dig deeper, you'll find that others have made their version of a megamod including some that use something other than TDW New UI if that's your cup of tea.
