is sh3 updated to 1.4b?
 

hey guys, I 'm currently downloading sh3 from amazon, is that version of the game already patched to 1.4b?

Check the folder where you installed and place the mouse cursor over the sh3.exe. It will show file version 1.4.0.1 if it is.

So I do this and it does show "1.4.0.1" but on the game menu it only says "1.4" NOT "1.4b"

Is this normal? I have the rerelease DVD I think that does not have starforce.

Yes. When we tested 1.4 and it was upgraded to 1.4b the official name wasn't changed. Anything released after 2008 is 1.4b and does not have Starforce.

The Encore version that contains both SHII and SHIII

Does that mean that the SHIII version can be installed directly from the dvd in the same as you can with SH4?

SH4 is straight forward, you put in the dvd drive and press install, that's it, done.

Just add JSGME and your mods.

I was not sure if the SH3 Encore version was the same type of installation or does it still needs to be patched to v1.4?

I believe the Encore version does not have Starforce on it?

The Encore version is fully patched and does not have StarForce. Also it does not require the disc to be in the drive to play it. :sunny:

I have never played SH3 only 4 and 5.

Any tips or mod choice recommendations would be appreciated.
