How do you go up the ladder?

I am new to this game. At the start of the game how do you go up the ladder to the bridge from the command center? Thanks for any help.

This is for the default control scheme, so this won't apply if you've made changes, but if you Right Click to unlock your view (now you can use the mouse to look and turn) then use the WSAD keys to move, and just walk straight into the ladder. You'll climb right up into the conning tower, and then if you continue, right up onto the bridge.

Rhenus942! Belatedly!:Kaleun_Salute:Excuse our manners! Tt is also possible to teleport to the bridge with (SHIFT key+ letter) from the Zentralle or deck gun- a real time saver!. I cannot recall the letter without reloading the SHV game. Might be Y or U; I played unmodified.

Wow, I just jumped back into SH3, SH4, and just tried SH5 for the first time. With respect to SH5, what on earth did I get myself into? Also, hopefully Steam versions allow Mods to work...:shifty:

You may want to rethink the steam ver if you are going to use mods. They seem to create alot of problems
