Shadow Glitch
I am getting a strange shadow glitch that is new to me, any insights?
http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/375...b86mk9d47g.jpg As you can see, this is Shocking. I am not sure what has caused this. Also, my submarine is not becoming fully dark, at night time. Also my crew members on deck are also slightly lit up. My mod list, it is vaguely based of Sobers Megamod, but I have swapped and added some of my preferred mods, made with as little collisions as I could. My PC can handle it this game on max settings at over 60 FPS, so It should handle this, I will look into it when I get back.

I have the bad shadows also . Its either ati card or mods . Do you have an ati card ?

I have an Nvidia GTX 570.

I installed the shadow mod, but now there is a nice dark shadow, but a horrible outside shadow that is all jagged.

It is not really easy to get accurate shadows with SH5

My GPU is running on factory default settings bar the drivers.

SH5 has three Cascade Shadows Maps (CSM), I think the code of the SH5 for the CSM has an error and instead of casting shadows with better resolution closer to the player, the SH5 borked code for the shadows develop better resolution for shadows far away from the player and worst resolution for shadows closer to the player

In my opinion, unless a SH5 developer or somebody with code skills can fix the SH5 code for the shadows, tweaking just the SH5 shadows settings is nearly useless :wah:

I have tried tweaking GPU settings to no avail.
I hope this is not something I will have to live with. |
