Where's the Intel?
Gentlemen
There is a war on. Targets are not easy to find in the first campaign. The same was true for starting both SH3 and 4, so we need to fix it. In those games we had maps showing convoy routes that were somewhat helpful. But not for the early war. We are all playing the same campaigns!!! What isn't happening is reporting on where YOU found a target, specifically. There are a lot of single targets and even more empty miles. Help each other out with tactical information. Date? Position? Target type? Maybe even time of day. We need to realize we are not alone out there. Real data: Nov 9, 39 21.31 hrs Nautical time Pos 55 deg 11 North 0 deg 3 West sank coastal steamer 92 tons. It isn't exactly like a wolfpack, but we can up our collective tonnage by working smarter. Anyone near that date and place might see a target. Let's work together to win the war! :arrgh!: |
I was thinking something similar to this earlier today.
SH5 needs an Intel O to brief you in an HQ Office....outside of the sub pen. Your office would be complete with a map of your kills, a Crew information, Boat information and a newspaper (kind of similar to B-17 the mighty Eight if you remember....but better:03::yeah:) Have a separate Intel Vault with a guard and special access only to get inside. Inside have a mock up of the north Atlantic with active convoys reported positions ( know it doesn't matter to you and your boat since your in port). Intel O can brief you on new technologies and tactics, assessed enemy strength..ect. I guess i want time in port to mean something.... but of course i'm dreaming |
Noooo
While your idea has merit, and would be great, what I mean is that we players need to help each other.
There is no reason why those lucky enough to find targets shouldn't let the rest of the fleet know here on the forum. :hmm2: |
No I understood what you meant....just think the game should help you out and be more immersive....something it sorely lacks.
