SH 5...two hours in
 

Hi all,

Just got SH5 and installed it this morning. First thought: Gee!...this is a great looking sim. Second thought: I detest this user interface! Third thought: the manual...damn near worthless. Final thought: THANK GOD FOR THE SUBSIM FORUMS AND ALL THE MOD BUILDERS!!

Seriously, thank you for all the excellent information here on SH5 and the Mod makers who have worked hard to fix and improve it and continue to do so.:salute: I'll be spending most my afternoon combing the threads for information and figuring out which mods I need to get for SH5 .

Yep, TDW's UI mod lets you have almost any interface you want.

As for the manual, there hasn't been a decent one since SH1.

Steve thanks for the encouragement. SH5 is like the first sub I rode out of the shipyard....sea trials were no picnic, but after a couple of months we had her purring like a kitten. SH5 sea trials were bumpy, but the mods and bug fixes should significant increase the fun level. Kind of glad I waited until now to buy it.

Fifi, I was just reading the link you suggested and plan to use it as a guide...thanks.
