I read that Italy had a similar dilemna with a north african around 2009 and ignored the EU court ruling and sent the garbage back anyway....they were fined 12,000 Euros (approx. £10,000) by the EU.

Well, Western courts are a bad joke anway these days. I put not more trust into them than I do when flipping a coin. Too much cultural degeneration, to much lack of class and nobleness, too much bureaucracy and laws, too many exceptions from the rules.
