A odd problem

I bought Dangerous waters a a few years ago via a digital download, here is the problem, I can't seem to find where I bought it from (not on the same computer and don't have the downloaded file anymore) and it seems that the company (who's name escapes me) does not seem to exist anymore online anyway.

I know this is super vague but I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that subsim linked at one point as the place to buy it but now no longer exists and if it is even possible to get to my purchased product.

I hate to buy a game twice.

If memory serves I think it was Battlefront.com who initially sold Dangerous Waters however they stopped handling it once it went to retail about 6 years ago. I believe Strategy First now has the digital download rights and sell the game through Steam, Gamersgate, Stormpowered and via the Subsim store/Amazon .

I remember buying it between 2008 and 2009, I know I used a link from Subsim to order it, now there does not appear to be a working link via the subsim store at all.

Possibly it was still Battlefront at that time. I don't remember anyone else having a digital distribution deal on the game through subsim. Unfortunately I don't think they offered a re-download service at that time unless it was as a paid option.

To rebuy it today isn't too costly from $2.50 + shipping (used) on amazon marketplace to $14.99 via digital distribution, the game often comes up in offers from the various online distributors.

That is a huge shame, I was really looking forward to it and it seems that even at it's cheap price nowadays, it is simply outside my reach (currently unemployed so I can't really spare anything, that is why I was looking for a game I already owned).

I was really worried that this was the case, I wish I had kept that install file but it is long since gone.

Its available on steam for $2.24 thats the best you can get for a good game. :)

Yup, I snatched it up quick, still a shame that I had to buy it again.
