Long time reader of Subsim I recently purchased SH5 and like a lot of people was surprised: Nice graphics but strange game... So i'm gonna try somme mods. Thanks to all those people who worked hard to enhance the game.

Welcome to the Ubootwaffe and yes, DO start with Schwartzritter's recommendation. That will get you started. If you want to add more, just speak up and we'll all be more than happy to help you with mod soups. :salute:

Feels good, doesn't it? And damn, SH5 is so much prettier too! Took a lot of doing for myself to go to SH5 and I know I wouldn't ever have if it hadn't been for the community here. I still love SH3, but SH5 is just sooo... Wow. :)

Yes i looove walking through the sub, its really nicely done. To me its a major feature in game immersion. And now that we are free to NOT connect for solo playing i even forget Ubisoft! But you're right: Without modders this would not be the game we have actually...
