Problem with opening hatch to go Conning tower/Deck
 

When I'm in the sub and down under water in Periscope depth using the attack and come back up to the surface the hatch won't open no matter how many times I click it? Is this a bug that can be fixed?

are you patched to 1.2 ?
what mods are you using ?

This "glitch" happend occasionaly, even in the 1.2 patch (sometimes i have this problem too).

I've had it when I surfaced and ran up to the hatch before surfaced like 7m and try to open it, it wouldn't. I had to wait till it was 6m or not rush up to soon when ship was ordered to surface. If I want to rush up to bridge, I usually use teleport button.

Oh, absolutely! After you surface, until the meter touches 5, I won't get the hatch open. This happens frequently surfacing in rough seas. The hatch will finally open. Like Raven says, 'If you're really in a hurry, you can teleport. I hate to have to go there too, but if it's a battle surface, seconds count.
In all, not really a bug I say, more of the nature of the game setup. You know if you're running on the surface in rough waters, the "submerged" icon is constantly flashing, when we hit that 6-7 mark the hatch closes. You're not alone there!!

What's the button that teleports you to the deck? o.o

Well, If you have the icons at the top of the screen (the white ones), the Skippers hat will take you to the bridge (unless you're Untervasser) otherwise, you can try the 'T' key to bring up the teleport stations. Again, this is totally dependant on your mods. One of your hotkeys should bring up the station icon/buttons and you just click the bridge icon.

PS: I would take the advise of Trevally and update that UI mod. You may have tried it already but "Multiple_UI's_with_TDC_by TDW" really sets you free.

Yeah in rough waters it might be problem to get up top quicker than in calm waters. The deck gun wont man either if waters are rough, but there is a mod for it. I don't use it, because realistically it wouldn't be practical to use deck gun in rough weather. Weather plays a lot big factor in how attacks are approached.

There are certain approaches and procedures to surfacing and diving. Download these Documents, if you haven't already:

There is a pdf in there called, The Submarine Commander's Handbook. Its like the sub captains bible. After reading it, maybe it will give you some time to do some checks before you rush up to deck, not to say that's a bad thing.

After reading some of it, I don't tend to rush up to deck as fast as much. There are periscope checks to do, before going up and down the surface, as well as other things. Sometimes I don't feel like doing them and like everyone, I get into the attack. The rush and excitement makes other things not matter, lol.

I never in the past like speech recognition mods because they didn't work right or were limited on certain words that are recognized. This one is really good and I love it. It helps me do many things at once and kills the time in between. Inside the main mod folder is a speech command list. It will give you numerous speech recognition for one command.

Try some of these things out, to get around the bug and maybe it will help your emergence of the game.
