Need a bit of help
Hey guys,
I've played SH4 in the past, and decided to get SH5 last week (a bit late, since the game was released ages ago). I'm still trying to catch up with the new things in SH5. I'm on my second mission now in the Total Germany campaign.
As I said I'm in the second mission, so I don't really have a problem with the campaign or other warships... yet. There are tons of mods available, but I don't really want to change the game that much, not until I'm done with the campaign. I saw that there is an extended campaign mod, will this mod change the 1939 - 1943 campaign in any way? Also, which mods do you guys suggest? (only to fix annoying bugs and to change a few other things). I don't really want a lot of new things in the game, maybe just more ships or a better submarine (dials etc). If you guys could give me a short list of the mods that are absolutely necessary, that would be a great help. I realise that there are probably 100 people who already asked for a shot list of mods, but as I said, I don't really want to change the things that I don't have to.. Thank you in advance |
Ok, I found out how the hydrophones work. It was because I could hear cars and dogs outside, the hydrophones require absolute silence to hear the propulsion of the ships :P
I also found the recognition manual, if I put manual targeting on, and when I turn the TDC ON and click on the type of ship I get the manual, but where can I get the recognition manual when I don't have map data on? |

As you can see, you'll get all the help you need with the mods. I came into this game from SH4 as well as I still play that one too. Take their advice, TDW's New UI mods/FX mod and IRAI, the Dynamic Environment mods, all must have. As well as a few other smaller ones you'll add to taste. The game steps up 99% . Hope you enjoy as much as I do. I had a lot of help getting everything sorted out and Kaleuns like TDW, Sober and others were so patient with me making sure I sorted out any questions, problems ect... This crew here are the best.
