Automatic reloading off by default?
Hi Kaleuns,
I tried finding the answer to this with the search function, but I couldn't find a similar question. Is there a way to have auto-reloading off by default? Currently I have to set it before each mission load-up. Now, it isn't a terrible thing, but I'm afraid to forget one day and have a torpedo load that I didn't want to. This isn't a major issue with the Type II with just 5 torpedoes of a single variety, but later in the war, I want to have control over whether or not my valuable homing torpedoes are loaded, especially since you can't pull a torpedo out once it's in the tube. I imagine there could be a setting in one of the configuration files, so if there is, I'd be all to happy to hear about it! :arrgh!: |

Well in actual fact, you CAN actually unload a tube, although this is when you get to the bigger boats(eg VIIB, IXB). Once you've fired off a torpedoe or two, then you have the internal storage space to click & drag a torpedo from a tube to the storage space. Like you usually do, just ensure you have "auto loading" disengaged. regards gary (aka Hessler) |

Untick it and you will be able to put any torpedo in any tube you like. |
Ah, I didn't realize the unloading was possible. However, it does take time anyway.
It would just be the most convenient option if loading were always manual. :shucks: |
As far as I'm aware you can't default the action permanently....you can only set it to 'off' after each bootup of the game.

Not that I'm aware of, though I must admit, it would be a most welcome development. :DL

It is a hardcoded setting.
That I know for sure. What I did to check was change the menu ID in the menu ini file, then change it in the SH3 exe file. You could no longer disable the setting then! :haha: The Guys doing the debugging stuff would be in a better position to find the value and change it then me. |

Yeah, like that's gonna happen. :88) |
