Hmm then we have Apple IOs and Orange the netrwork provider.... what is it with mobiles and fruit? What next a Samsung Pinapple? |
It's all I've had for the past 6 years...the boy has the latest I phone (naturally) :DL

I have older Iphone 3gs, it does the job - but in my deffence as an iWhore, I have been working in IOS games development recently :)

Apples stuff just isnt worth the price at all. its all just clever branding & marketing with them, nothing more. As a developer though, IOS is prefered because of the standardised hardware. testing for Android hardware is a bitch and a half.... so many devices. |
I love blackberries
My windows phone is about to arrive in the mail in a few days, I'll post a review once I'm done |

Anyway, most of the time smartphones are bought on contract so the price difference is not as big as people think. My phone company (Sunrise) offers 3Gs for 1 franc as well as the iphone 4 16 GB-I got my iphone 4 at 100 francs because I went for the 32 Gb model for the same unlimited data plan which is where most of the difference lies. The current android top of the line they offer the Samsung Galaxy SII (which a friend has and is pretty happy with) is also 100 CHF with a similar plan. |
Im so glad I dont have one of them basic mobile phones, you know the type...
Only makes calls.....no texts or social media.... or Blackberry as they're more commonly known as |

A simple calls-only phone was what I wanted, but the one I got was only $30, and it does a lot of cool stuff. That said, it has Blackberry but I have no idea what that does besides hands-free calling, and I have it switched off.

To be more specific on what I said, its really games devs that prefer iOS since games are the most technically demanding apps and require more rigorous testing. (Remember that many consumers are not interested in games.) And Just because Android development is harder, it doesn't mean they won't do it. Apple really try to over sell their app range & store in their ad campaign "if you dont have an iphone that means you dont have the app store" question is does anyone really care? hell let's face it, the reality is that 99% of all mobile apps are completely non essential, while some are handy, the majority of them are just pure fluff. Most people know this. |
