S3D animations
Hello again ! :yeah::yeah:
i want to ask question about S3D.... how u can animate ur 3d builts ?? :salute::salute: |
Hi mate,
You can animate very basic stuff like moving object in s3d editor but it was not made for that purpose. You will need a more robust animation software like Blender that is free or other paid solution like 3ds max etc. But keep in mind that you cannot expected to get this done overnight because learning all you need to know to start implementing animation in SH3 or any other game is no ride in the park it take patience and a love for learning. I am a teacher in video game industry and i always told my students that to become good at animation take time practice, lot of practice. First you should start by making your 3d assets and then learn how to export it in SH3 via s3d editor and after you are familiar with that process then you can start learning animation import in OBJ sequences. Keep in mind that OBJ export sequences have to be short because each frame have to be calculated to render the animation so in a word dont start importing 3000 frame sequences. Less then 300 frame sequence is a better choice and you have to make good use of your animation skill to make it look good at such a low frame number. I can go on and on with that topic because it is a huge one that i am not willing to start in a forum with thousand of pages and that why the internet and google are your best friend for learning. Best regards Hans |

Hi mate, Yes that the correct link to Blender and there is many good tutorials for it on the internet. Also welcome to the modding community but be aware that jumping in modding can often be time consuming so you better warn your girlfriend if you have one that you might become a biologic extension of your computer.:k_rofl: When i start modding that game i never expected that all my free time would be put in this. Best regards Hans |

I've spent nearly every day for the last one and a half years in front of the PC modding first for SH5 (Played that for an hour and started modding it, haven't played it since - still modding it). Likewise bought SH3 only a few months back after seeing Hans excellent Torpedo vids for his mod and started modding Sh3 then. So once agin still in front of the PC with SH3 but not playing it :har: My better half says I wouldn't enjoy playing it anyway, I'd only keep seeing thing I'd want to fix :haha: |

jajajajajajajajajajaja :D:D oh yeah , very good one !! jajajajaja yap , i like to mod alot , it relax me ( sometimes... :har::har:) i have a really stressfull work so for me , this is my normal live.. jajaja |
main prob in sh3 is to converse the new animations and create them the way, the game "understands" the animation as an animation. if you know, what i mean. learning is one thing, dealing with sh3 another.
