This "Pledge to America" Is starting to be a dream come true for democrats picking it apart piece by piece to show how republicans vote against what they stand for time and time again. |
both of those parties are out of contention for a while - with any luck

^^ LOL Ain't that the truth. :haha:
Somehow I'm just not surprised. Regardless of which party makes a "pledge", we can certainly count on promises not being kept. :shifty: |
There's only one party and that's the business/corporate party.
|
HR 5297 is a good bill. Small business lending has been stagnant, and anything that can help prime the pump to get credit flowing in the SBA space is money well spent. I don't have the chart in front of me, but SBA loan volume plummeted after the 90% guarantee expired a few months ago (SBA loans are normally 80% guaranteed by the SBA.) This bill will extend the 90% provision and increase max loan size.
Stop being so partisan and look at things more pragmatically. |
So what you're saying is that just because just ONE Republican voted for a tax bill that means the RepublicanS broke their tax pledge?
You Democrats sure are sounding more and more desperate to deflect public attention from your upcoming November train wreck. :DL |

Walter Jones at that .. not exactly a 'staunch conservative'. If conservatives do adhere to the tennants of this proposal it will be the liberals worst nightmare as it is exactly what a substantial proportion of the citizenship is looking for and directly contrary to the liberal agenda. I guess the libs are saying "Hey were all for bigger goverment and higher taxes !!!" I see this as a pre-emptive strike. |

Also forgot to mention that the 'pledge' basically says "If we (conservatives not R vs D) gain control of congress agin, we pledge to stand by these standards".
Well right now they do not have contorl of congress and the climate on capitol hill is us tax and spend kensyian economic model vs them lower taxes smaller goverment and the one senator decided to join the 'us'. |

I'll just make one last point and back out of this 'discussion' because I know it is pointless in that no one will change their minds.
At least the republicans present a plan and if you read it you will see it is very much NOT "buisness as usuall". Yall enjoy your talking points now. :salute: |

http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/th...rom-the-pledge Boehner 2010 repeating word for word what he said in 1998 (@ 2:54 in the video) was especially priceless. If you believe this stuff, I have a bridge to sell you. |
