Best map tools in SH3 ever (for use in SH5)?

Hello fellow Kaleuns. :salute:

I haven't been playing SH3 for a long while and I lost track of what is latest and best in SH3 mods. Recently I bought SH5 and I try hard to enjoy it now (this is not an easy task though).

Tell me please, which mod for SH3 has the best map tools (thingies for plotting) you saw, where best means: the most accurate, legible, the most eye-candy, the highest quality/resolution, the most immersive and so on. I would like to transfer the best set to SH5, for obvious reasons (I plot a lot).

To be strict - I only mean the very tools (protractor, compass, marker, ruler, eraser), without any interface elements accompanying them (buttons, panels).

I saw a set of good looking tools in MaGUI mod, but maybe there are some even better solutions?

Thank you for any info.

I like those of MaGUI 3.4 interface, but the Hitmans are great, too. Now I´m thinking how to have boths on my map.

Regards.

I've been using the SH4 Tools For SH3. Kind of cool having the tools lying on the corner of the map. :sunny:

Neptun damn you Steve... It didn't even come to my head to also check SH4 tools... :hmmm: I'm already working on MaGui version for SH5, while waiting for MaGUI author's permission.

Could you point me to the ,mod that allows use of SH4 tools in SH3?

Thanks for help guys. Decided to release it with 2 options:
- MaGUI tools,
- SH4 tools that Sailor Steve pointed me to.
Releasing soon. Sailor Steve will have his favourite tools in SH5 as well. :D

The mod is released for SH5. In the [REL] thread there are pictures showing clearly what tools where used - these are all I have discovered so far. If you happen to know about other good quality tools existing in other mods (mods for non-SH or very old games included), please let me know. I'll be happy to undig them too:

Thanks, but I don't play, or own, SH5.

Ditto - eagerly awaiting a SH3 version .........

Oh, and I don't use any of the GUIs, so I already have the MapTools in my game.

I thought you already had the widest selection possible in SH3, thus I didn't even consider making this mod for SH3 as well - would be obsolete from the very start. Isn't it so?

Actually making an SH3 version would be very easy (as well as SH4 version, but I'd need to get a copy of stock Mouse.cfg file).

Sailor Steve - I hope one day you will (play SH5). The all the tools will be waiting for you. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/4344/crazy2.gif

The GUIs are all available in SH3, and the 'SH4 Maptools Mod for SH3' is obviously in SH3, so unless they don't work together AvM is correct - they are already there.

I appreciate it. As soon as the DRM is gone I'll buy it, and as soon as I can run a Type II I'll play it. I'm sure it's just a matter of time. :sunny:
