Personal Questions
Hey all
So by now I have put around 100 hours of playtime but there still questions and I was hoping I could get some help.
Thanks |
I will answer some of Your questions:
1. Crosses on the top left corner shows Your progress in strategic goals of the TOTAL GERMANY campaign. In that menu which You can see after clicking "Hat" You have status of Your current mission, in other words a current war patrol. When You select request mission in bunker at Your base, before going to the sea, You get mission connected with strategic goal that You selected. To check progress in strategic goals find white cross in black circle on the navigation map and click on it or double click on goal's name in top left corner. Then You should see detailed description of that goal and progress bar. When You fulfill progress bar then You will get crosses:arrgh!: 2. It requires a lot of intuition and even more luck. Easiest solution is firing electrical torps 'cause they don't leave trail on water. 3. Here on Subsim forums You will find tutorials how to use manual TDC: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164131 and http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164499In fact You can do all the math but there are some very useful tools to avoid that. For example if You are using DarkWraith Multiple UIs Mod (which I strongly reccomend if You aren't using it alredy) You have draggable compas to determine AOB and there is manual for it: http://www.filefront.com/16402743/compass-tutorial.pdf/ Manual TDC requires certain amount of knowledge, understanding and experience. But it's worth practising 'cause nothing else gives such satisfaction than succesfully performed long shot:rock: 4. Later in the war, You will be able to get a Snorkel - it's a special exhaust tube mounted to diesel engines which sticks under waterline and leads off exhaust fumes. With snorkel You can go submerged on diesel engines. That's the only way 'cause using diesels when submerged is impossible (they need air to work and exhaust fumes will kill crew if not leaded off submarine). 5. Yea it's possible but only when You mod game 'cause in real world during WWII german torps could be fired only at certain depth (around 20 meters 'cause they couldn't bear greater pressure if I remember correctly). 6. Greman U-boots haven't got such kind of sonar and wasn't able to get distance to target by pinging. |
After your recent revelation, all I can suggest is purchase the game legally and then all the copy protection tomfoolygoofery will disappear.
|
Well after reading your questions I was prepared to answer but after seeing Nisgeis revelation (and after a subsequent search) all I can say is I hope that you find your OWN copy.
After that come to this forum and help. To any Moderators or Neal looking into this, please brig this guy until he learns to read about the rules of the forums.. |
I agree with both Nisgeis and Krauter. You want answers, buy a copy. Closed.
