This mod started out to add numbers to the Sub pens at St.Naziare but there's a lot more in v2.0

What's new in the new version?, well a lot, this has taken several weeks of work to complete!:

Greetings,

This mod add numbering to the u-boat pens at St.Nazaire. It includes an edited harbor_kit.dat file from HanSolo's most excellent WAC animated sub-pens with the following additions.

1. Each Pen has external numbering on the front eg. "B 12 A" on the front as did the St. Nazaire pens.

2. Each Pen has numbering above one of the doorways leading to the next pen.

3. The mod includes a new "center" pen model (pens 2-13) which enables each pen to be inter-connected.

4. I have included a new ceiling texture for the pens based on wartime photographs.

Please enable the mod using JSGME.

You will require HanSolo's Animated Sub Pen / WAC4.1 SubPen_animated_18.02.2010 (link below) and my mod should be enabled AFTER the animated sub-pens mod.

Changelog from v1.0:

Changes to sub pen exterior/models.

I have redone the sub pen models again and, as well as the individual sub pen numbers on the front and inter-connecting pen numbering, I have added the following:

1. New roof to try and replicate the "Fangrost" bomb-proof roof structure.

2. New pen ceiling texture.

3. New entrances to pens 1 and 14 with large armoured steel doors.

4. New railings on the top of the pens.

5. New animated flag and flagpole on top of the pens.

Additons to the pen interiors:

1. A railway line that runs the length of the pens complete with a locomotive, freight carriages and torpedos on flat cars.

2. Trucks, kubelwagons (all with Kriegsmarine number plates) and a motorbike and a group of soldiers etc..

3. Added many signs such as "Rauchen verbotten", "mitte turm" (middle of the conning tower marks for docking) etc. as well as adding several posters.

4. Edited the 3d model to increase the crew on deck and changed them to include three officers and also re-done the uniform texture and changed the enlisted men to wear sidecaps and u-boat war badges and removed their white gloves and the new officers wear caps.

5. Gangplanks added to docked u-boats.

6. Edited the 3d model and changed the hat on the "Kaleun" figure to the white style and also added a u-boat war badge.

7. Edited "Werner's" 3d model to include a cap, a camera and strap (after all he is a Kriegsberichter) and added his kit bag.

8. Added various other objects and textures such as oil drums, crates, oranges and bread crates on deck.

9. Reduced the number of working cranes and changed the timings so that they are not all in-sync and also added new loads for them.

10. Added MG emplacements to some pens.

Are you aware that both files have the same name and will therefore conflict if a user attempts to d/l them to the same location eg: desktop?

The second DL in your post above isn't correct - it's not 'Animated Sub-Pens'...

Hi Aces,
nice to read that, but could you made your, without any question, great mod compatible with an other grat mod: Bigboywoolys GWX 3 Wilhemshafen,St Naz,Schluese and xtra ships V5 ??
I tried to use both but because of different Terrain data it fails. If it seems to be to difficult maybe you could "pimp" your first version (1.0). I tried this and it works . But 2.0 is much more beautifull!!:yeah:

Hi chaps,

Yes, it should be fairly straightforward to make the \Terrain\Locations\St_Nazaire.dat compatable with Bigboywoolys GWX 3 Wilhemshafen,St Naz,Schluese and xtra ships V5 but I don't fancy editing the harbor_kit.dat file as this would be a very large job.

I could edit the St_Nazaire.dat file from the Wilhelmshafen mod and test it.
