ignore list

If I list a captain on my Ignore List does it mean I will not see his posts in the forums? Does it mean I will not see PM from the ignored captain?

You're being ignored. Oops, damn!

Ducimus 06-30-10 09:35 PM

You won't see their posts unless someone quotes them. I'm assuming they can't PM you once placed on ignore.

Ducimus, thanks.

Hey, about TMO2.0 and surface attacks. At 2,000 + yds., I have been shot at by two merchants on pitch black nights. Playing TMO is like trying to tip toe through a room full of cocked mouse traps, which if you saw Mousehunt, did not turn out so well for the idiot brothers who painted themselves into a corner once they were set.

TMO2.0-the goal is simple: Return alive.

What you will see is a line like the ones for a deleted post, but it will say "You can't read XXX's message because he's on your ignore list", or something similar.

I don't know about PM's either. The only way to find out is to ask someone to PM you and then put him on your list and see what happens.

That could be interesting.

"Okay, you're on ignore. PM me."

"I said PM me."

"Hello?"

Go in deck awash and under 7kts. You can get in well under 1500 yards undetected in the dead of night. :03:

thank you.

The ignore function is essential. I would have stopped coming to SubSim if not for that List! I just wish it had more slots.

Nisgeis 07-01-10 10:34 AM

I'm goin' down, I just put you on my ignore list (first person ever to make it there), so try and PM me and see what happens.

I thought I posted a response, but I cannot find it anywhere. So here it is again.

I have responded with a private message.

BTW. You have ruined my holiday weekend by adding me to you ignore list.:wah: I am going to deactivate your Torpedo Angle Calculator mod in retaliation. :D Now I won't sink as many targets.:stare:

Opps. since I am on the Ignore List, you won't see this.

Raven79 07-01-10 12:12 PM

Nisgeis: He did that.
How much does he have to pay to get off of it? ..only for the records. :haha:

Not very realistic really. Did you forget to douse the smoking light?

I am a big fan of TMO, but I do not run it out of the box. I tweak it here and there to better suit my personal likes and dislikes.

I will admit though, that the machine gun damage from the freighters that once irritated me no end has not been such a problem of late. I installed Webster's better deck guns mod over TMO and stay back at least 1,100 yards from the merchants while surfaced.

I also tweaked the probabilities for air strikes in the Airstrike.cfg file - also dropped size of airfields by one for all air fields. This helped me a lot- they still have their x-ray vision... but now there are far fewer of them to contend with.

You can certainly adjust anything that you don't personally feel is realistic after all. Baby steps to adjust it to what suits you while still not losing the feeling that you need to use caution while playing in TMO. That's about half the fun after all. The other half is blowing stuff up!

Just flavor to taste... works for me.
