(Tec)Modifying Tambor Eagle From Early War To Late War
 

I'm looking to find a way to use SS198_FooBor's Tambor Combo Hi-Res v1.0 from the Killflag website to translate from the early war to late war. Specifically, getting the Tambor eagle to show up on the late war conning tower.

Actually, I have. But as this problem is with the T class subs, I don't think the Beast's modpak will help any. Thanks for the suggestion though. :yeah:

Yeah, I know... but he shows how to add placeholders in .dat files for correctly showing the decals... :D

I spent a good hour going through the Killflag thread last night and tried a couple of suggestions I found about setting the decal on the late war conning towers. Either I didn't understand the suggestions or they just don't work in TMO v1.9. I will take some time tonight and look at the Beast's thread for his modpaks.

The Modifications required to add a tower decal are the same no matter what class you are talking about. The only thing that changes is the conning tower .dat file.
You can easily reverse engineer what I did or what was done to your early war tower and apply it to late war tower.
The Tambor has 3 different conning towers located in the "Data\Objects" folder.
Conning_Tambor_01.dat
Conning_Tambor_02.dat
Conning_Tambor_03.dat
The late war Tower is Conning_Tambor_03.dat
You can use SKWAS S3D 3ditor to add the required changes.

Like I mentioned in my first post I'm using the the FooBor's SS198 skin from the Killflag website. It works fine on the early war connting tower on the T class but the late war. I've tried both RFB and TMO.

I'll look at your DecalPak tonight after I get home from work.

I hope it is what you are looking for. You can use any skin as the Ship hull ID numbers and Submarine Emblem are individual texture images and have nothing to do with the Skin you are using.
The MOD also adds updated bubble, Deisel Exhaust Smoke, Battle Flag, Proppellar Rotation Fix and 4 bladed screw.

So... what happened? Will this end up in a Tambor Decal Mod? :D
