[REL] Super Mod Make-Over for RFB 2.0
Main Menu Screen smmo is a combo mod of some things I have done myself, and other mods I’ve used, (either parts of, or entire mods themselves). Most of these changes do not affect overall game play. They are intended to mix things up a little. Basically I am striving for the “Hey, that’s cool”, or the “I never noticed that before” effect. This mod was originally made for TMO, but I thought it would be nice to have for the Real Fleet Boat mod as well. List of changes and credits; - Intro music from Fall Of The Rising Sun by AOTD_MadMax, (way COOL) - Intro and Career end photos from Trigger Maru Overhauled by Ducimus - Ceiling fan removed from German captain’s office by DarkFish/Te Kaha - Lifeboats and debris w/ bodies from Pacific Environments 4 by Kriller2 - Various sounds files from Webster’s selected new sounds mod - Aircraft Reflections by vickers03 (one of my favorite mods) - High detail lighthouse mod by flakmonkey - Longer Ship and Sub Wakes by Vikinger I have also added allot of custom missions by various people. Note: I changed some of the mission names for continuity sake, but did not alter the missions in any way. - Tambor198’s SH4 Single Missions, (over 30 missions, WOW) and 1.5 Missions (2) - Tang and Wahoo War Patrols by Cgrimes - Rockin Robbins Convoy From Hell - UBM Mission Pack by Syxx Killer Now, here are some of things I have worked on; - New title screen - Slightly modified Binocular mask - Some minor environmental tweaks, (.dds files only) - An updated version of my Navigation Map Make-Over mod - Reworked the Torpedo Images in the torpedo load out screen - An Autographed photo of Ginger Rogers in the Captains Office - An updated version of my Full Screen Scopes for Fleet boats and U-boats, (my first mod) - Modified deck gun sight and TBT, (sight lines and hash marks are blackish in daylight, and green at night). - Changed “main menu” and “load/save” screens, plus a significant amount of wording/verbiage changes in the menu file. - New American and German loading screens, Campaign screens and Museum Screen – a tribute to the “Fighting Sullivan Brothers, (I know they didn’t serve on any submarines, but it’s MY mod and I can do what I want). - Plus a bunch of tweaks here and there that you probably won't notice anyways. This mod is JSGME compliant. Just enable this mod last. Download Here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=168742 I welcome any feedback regarding this mod, and I am willing to answer any questions you may have. Regards, and Happy Hunting |
Nice! I will try this tonight when I get back home.
I just have one question - compatibility related: which version of RFB2.0 did you make this from? With or without the latest patch? What about RSRDC? Most people playing RFB don't play without RSRDC. ;) |
Can you post the link for the TMO version, thanks!

Hello!
is there any chance for a reupload of this mod? thanks in advance phil |

wow :)
thanks very much for that fast reply-no need to hurry though with the upload; I am currently in the process of setting up my version of SH4 and went the RFB way, but I would also like to try out TMO if time permits; btw, your makeover for TMO is also offline unfortunately; on a sidenote, and I know this has been discussed here heavily already, but if I would ask you, which mod offers more immersion, TMO or RFB, what would you say? I played Silent Service 2 and the original SH till my eyes bled, so I know quite a few things about subsims, but I am away from submarining for quite some time now.... anyhow, thanks in advance phil |

As far as immersion goes, I think that should be for the individual to decide. There are mods that range from nuclear tipped torpedoes to accurate spacing of rivets on the bulkheads. My philosophy is, if I like it, I play it. I hope this helps, and if not . . . well, you asked. |
thanks for that answer :)
I have settled for a FOTRS setup currently, as this one gave me the least CTDs; anyhow, if you find some time it would still be nice to get your overhauls, both for RFB and TMO; but no need to hurry.... best regards phil |
Hy there,
Will this mod solve the problem for no map contacts in RFB ? The link is dead.. Thanks Canecao |
