I'm waiting for SHV to come out, in the mean time should I buy SHIII and SHII on amazon. Could you also give descriptions and screenshots of the gameplay, graphics, realism and other details.

IMO it's definitely worth picking up SH3, especially given what you'll probably pay for it (I got it last fall and paid around $10.) Considering all the mods and supermods available to play with, it's a definite bargain. Check out the Silent Hunter III forums and subforums for more info.

I can't speak to SH2 since I've never played it, but I know I passed on getting the two games in combo after reading more about each and just went with SH3. No doubt others here might still find SH2 a worthwhile purchase for various reasons, if so I'm sure they'll be along shortly. :DL

Edit: keep in mind that a lot of the screenshots in the thread noted above are probably from people playing with various combinations of mods/supermods, and so might not be indicative of what you'd see in the game straight from the box.
