The Real Balz? Not Really, But...

Brag should love this.

I was doing research into ship names when I came across the story of the WW1 U-53, commanded by Kapitanleutnant Hans Rose. In 1916 Rose boldly sailed his boat into Newport, Rhode Island, and entertained U.S. Navy personel right there on U-53! He then proceeded to sink seven merchants in International waters off Nantucket while a number of U.S. destroyers watched, and even asked one destroyer to move so he could torpedo a Dutch steamer!

A pretty amazing warrior. Balz should be so lucky.

I'd have to say that was a Balzy move......Kapt Balz would be proud of Kapt Rose. In fact I'm sure that later it will come to light that Kapt Balz had actually met with Kapt Rose in a Cantina in Mexico with a beautiful senorita on their laps, and Tecate Beer in their hands. This being after WWI I'm sure Balz listened to Kapt Rose's War Stories. And utilized them in his future endeavors......:salute:
