Brag should love this.
I was doing research into ship names when I came across the story of the WW1 U-53, commanded by Kapitanleutnant Hans Rose. In 1916 Rose boldly sailed his boat into Newport, Rhode Island, and entertained U.S. Navy personel right there on U-53! He then proceeded to sink seven merchants in International waters off Nantucket while a number of U.S. destroyers watched, and even asked one destroyer to move so he could torpedo a Dutch steamer! A pretty amazing warrior. Balz should be so lucky. ![]() http://www.lilysohl.net/U%20Boat-53.htm
