A couple GWX2.1 interface questions
First off, how do I manually aim with GWX? I know how to get the ship log up and lock onto the target but I cant figure out where to put the information in. Also I can't see the ships icon on the torpedo targeting map at all.
Second, is there any way to get the icons of the stations back on the side of the screen? Or will I just have to continue to memorise the F1-12 hotkeys? |
i recommend you download the OLCE mod
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=134186 check it out, if not interested im sure someone can help you out here. but the OLCE mod makes you an underwater sniper practically |
Well...the aiming is the same as stock SH3, click the word "range" to get the two lines, so on and so forth. Maybe you have manual switched off if its not working.

on the bottom of the screen near the text box is a little round switch. click it and it will bring up your TDC controls.
upon those gages you input range, speed and AOB. click the screen once more to close the gages, and fire |
This may not help, but after I installed GWX2.0/2.1 then SH3 Commander I liked what I saw but wasn't completely satisfied. So I went and d/l installed OLCE2 because some of the water effects looked really good on posted screen shots.
Started up JSGME Generic Mod Enabler and activated the following: OLCE2 OLCE2 Fixed GWX 2.1 Ship Reflections OLCE GUI Special And started the game through SH3 Commander. What greeted my eyes was a totally new interface, one that I didn't like because I had grown accustomed to the original. So after exiting (and auto rolling back SH3 Commander) I unactivated OLCE GUI Special and restated - ah, glorious goodness returned. Hope that helps, |
