Operation Plaster

Something I read the other day:

If the GWX Team implements this, I'm off playing The Sims http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...lies/tired.gif

2nd support group is indeed in GWX

:rotfl:

Say hello to the sims for me

I knew it, I knew it!
BBW works for the British Admiralty Department GWX :o

Well, these tactics were efective because allied had a lot of resources like scorts, spare depht charges in the convoys, and HK groups. and it only was possible in 1944-45 when the war was lost for germany.

:hmm:

could work this in 1940 ? probably not,

Eh yes, this Sloop "Starling" was the "Terminator" of the U-Boots, he sink 13 U-Boots ,the record absolute.Walker, the "Starling" and his hunter-killer group was the nightmare of the U-Boots.

I have a book on Walker, and he realy did live up to the legend. The fact that he was treated so poorly early on in his career, but still stuck with the service is a testament to his abilities!:yep:

Yeah! Great site, Jim. Knew that one, but it surely has grown since my last visit.

And more Walker from BBC Radio Merseyside...

Still haven't had the "pleasure" of running into a hunter group though...

And not sure if I really want to either.
In March 1944 my old U-181 ran into a couple of Flower Class' which was more than enough :nope:

U-181 is no more. U-178 lives!
