Modding ,, trying to understand the numbers!

Hi all

finally figured out a way to go from Gmax and in a very around about way, into the game. I have done this for a main hull. and have also learned how to replace all the parts as necessary,

Gmax, export as an .im file, convert the im into a wavepoint .obj file import it then into shiii via 3d editor. (still do not know how to get the mtl fle into there, thus untextured, )

Now I am a bit lost though, each of those parts has a location number.

I.e
=====
Obj:23
type:10/1
id A6DD5867E406B850 Label:NSS_uboat21_PERISCOP_F
size: 31 Position:4756370
========

Line one is self explanitory

type???/ of???

ID I am guessing every part has an assigned number. label, the name of the item

size????? Position ??? I am guessing this is an x, y, z, format but not making heads or tails of it. not do I see how to change these to move the parts about.

Something else noted for other gmax modders, , Seems the gmax scale of 100 ft is only 10 ft in SHIII or 1/10th.

Is there a better way or something that can automatically reposition these items??

thanks in advance all

I believe that should be a type 10/-1
It's saying the info following is a controller.
From the size I'd say DynamicShadow
size defines the size of this node.
In this case 31 bytes.
Position is where in the dat it is located.

4756370 bytes from the beginning of the dat.
