sonar tracking of escorts
 

I was informed in another post that the trigger maru mod enables the player to order the sonar man to track the nearest escort. I have only recently been able to run the sim without crashes, and would like to keep the mods to a minimun. Is there any way to enable this feature without a complete install of Trigger Maru?thanks! Hmm, I think so. I'm still using CCIP's keyboard mod, which basically gives you the commands as if you were using Tmaru.

PS The command you probably mean is : follow nearest warship (it won't fix on the nearest escort if you're right below a BB)

I assume it can also be done by manually editing the config file? If so, is there any particular way to do it without screwing something else up? thanks! Joe S

If you download CCIP's keyboard mod, and compare the config files you should be able to figure it out. I did it this way, and I'm green on the computersofwarechangethingie as grass. If I can do it, anyone can....:yep:

So in other words you are suggesting that I download the mod, do NOT install it, but copy the config files that I want from it and do not use the ones I dont want? Thanks! Joe

I tried downloading the mod and separating out the part that allows sonar tracking of escorts. but I dont think its possible. Can anybody post the text of the config file that needs to be changed so I can try it manually? Thanks! Joe S
