I'm sure we've done a thread like this before, but I just wanted an excuse to post this photo. :) I love it!

I wish in battlestations we had six or seven guys crammed into the conn. in SH4.

Dean,
You just have to remember that the conning tower hatch is closed, the A/C is off, and you're in the highest part of the boat. Do you like to sweat? And you only get a shower once a week...........

Tigrone 06-19-07 05:55 PM

My favorite picture is of course:

Most of the Army Air Force, including my dad, on the deck of Tigrone putting in to Iwo:

Lifeguard duty perhaps? Notice that most of the guys in the front row seem to be wearing sandals. What's that about?

Yeah, there used to be a sticky thread with hundreds of photos. Where did it go?

Great shots, by the way...both of them.:sunny:

Amazing...apparently in the heat of action, either training or real, and they STILL have their ties on.

Not a submarine, but this picture of George Grider and Roger Paine on R&R in Hawaii is fantastic. A world apart from their experences in the cramped Wahoo.
