Ocean floor - does this effect performance.

Hi, although I am unable to play SH4 until I get a new video card & ram or a new system I was wondering if it's possable to change the ocean floor to a lower texture & if doing so would this increase frame rate?:-? In SH3 introducing high-res floor textures caused very poor performance in older machines. I maybe clutching at straws here!:yep:
Thanks.

Look here how remove placton and rocks.

the seafloor texture perhaps could be replaced by other too , but i suspect that an important factor are the boats and ships textures/reflections.

the shaders folder have a lot of Direct3D High-Level Shader Language files :hmm:

Ahh, so it had a big effect in SH3 but virtually no effect on performance (fps) in SH4?
Oh well, it was a thought!:yep:

I´m not sure if it helps in framerates, i´m still testing things. :hmm:
i have better framerates with porpoise class than with gato and balao

Now i want to replace the seafloor and remove the crew on the warships...
the next could be tune down reflections and textures.
