If it isn't the 5-hour "Original, Uncut Version" it's not worth it. I own that one, so I can watch it "on demand" any time of the year.

The five-hour one is for those wanting to learn what u-boat war was like.
The director's cut is for the action freaks.

I know which I like the most (I own both) - the epic one. Any given day:up:.

I have all three, the first one being the original theatrical release on VHS. It's only 2-1/2 hours, and is probably my least favorite. The longer the better, I always say.:rotfl:

I found out that the 5-hour-version is somehow hard to get. :-?

Codmander, can't find it! Looked under free movies, and did a title search, but I'm here in Denver Co, and that may have something to do with it. It was on Encore 3 times this last month, but each darn time it would start at midnight, or 3 am, and I have to work in the daytime, so I got hosed each time it was on. So I have yet to see the full version in it's entirety. Like trying to watch all 26 hours of Mitchner's Centennial.

Yep the 5 hour one is the closest one to reality (as far as I can ascertain) :yep:

I'm pretty sure 'On Demand' is just that-anytime you want. And I'm pretty sure it's not free.

Yup, same here

Hopin' Santa has a copy.

On Demand has pay per view, and free films. If you have any of the movie channels like showtime and hbo, you can watch a lot of their films free while they are on the list.
