My poor weapons specialist
 

When I started my first career, I paid renown for a good Weapons officer. The best I could afford. He paid off well durring the mission. We sank ships left and right and he never missed a shot when I had him set one up. We were in the middle of attacking a convoy. I had maneuvered inside the enemy lines, surfaced and I had him do his fantastic target motion analysis and fire at the nearest merchant. We came under attack by a DD and crash dived as deep as I could get it. Durring the dive, one of my crew mentioned that the torpedoes had missed. When I switched back into the command room (durring a nice depth charge attack), I turned to look around and screamed.

Apparently some of my crew didn't like the idea that he missed, beheaded the poor guy and mounted his head on a pipe !! (This is a real graphics glitch ! No photoshop involved.)

Oh, wonderful! As if being DC'd isn't enough stress by itself, now we have a homicidal maniac among the crew...

Bernard may be a bit of a klutz and the brunt of many jokes...however I wouldn't think of him as a lunatic. Although...it is quite possible he's finally cracked up and over the edge a bit. :o

Yeah. I know. That site is horrible. I just didn't have the time to hunt for a better one this morning. Yeah..
It turned out that the floating head must have been a bad omen.... later this afternoon, I, my crew, and the head were sent on eternal patrol by a psychic destroyer who detected me from beyond the curve of the earth or so it seemed.

At least I now have an idea why he missed his shot. Someone chopped off his head in the middle of his calculations !!

I think the crew was jealous of him because I actually paid renown for him and paid nothing for anyone else. I don't know.. it happend while I was out of the room using the targeting periscope... his calculations went horribly wrong.. I came back and..... YAAAAA !!!

The thing that got to me was that the rest of the crew were just... ignoring it...
